Client Testimonials
Each lesson brought new information or awareness to each aspect of preparing my body and mind for hiking... from foot care to using poles properly and deep stepping downhills, the classes were informative, fun and will do more with Mandy in the future...and hope to attend an international hike with her if she ever plans a South America trek... Lovely person inside and out...

Informative class where I was introduced to yoga postures, and received hiking tips as well. Mandy is a kind, generous person, and I looked forward to class every week. The class atmosphere was positive and supportive.

Increase your range of motion
If you have spent any amount of time in a chair, whether that's at a desk, in a car, or otherwise, chances are you have some muscles that are tight, and others that are underused. This course helps you improve your range of motion so you can fire your muscles properly.
Improve your Reaction Speed
We incorporate mindfulness techniques in each practice that help to be more aware of what's happening around you, and what's happening in your body, so you can better prevent injuries and accidents.
Plan Better
Be prepared for anything by knowing how to treat water, pack your pack efficiently, use trekking poles, orient using sound, navigate using light, and much more.

What You Get
Starting from the feet and working our way up the kinetic chain, over the course of 8 weeks we will develop a functional practice that will improve strength, mobility, and mindfulness on and off the trail.
It is my intention for you to complete the program with a deeper connection between your body, your mind, and your natural environment. In English: I want you to HYOH / (“hike your own hike”), but with less musculoskeletal stress.
